Bremen, February 2020: Which paths must tour operators and hoteliers take to turn satisfied guests into returning guests? Among other things, the ITB Berlin, the leading trade fair for the global tourism industry, is concerned with the complex answer to this question. This year, the trade fair is making four exhibition halls available for the supporting theme of travel technology, in which technology providers will present their industry-relevant solutions.
Engagement needs Security
The topic of customer engagement has also matured into a top topic in the tourism industry. Thus, the efficient exchange of customer data from reservation and booking systems, revenue management systems and marketing software is an essential component for the efficient use of existing data and thus for increasing customer satisfaction, value and loyalty. The industry is faced with the challenge of handling personal data in compliance with GDPR and developing industry-specific customer loyalty programs.
ProCampaign: marketing trip to the loyal guest

Jörn Bittner from ProCampaign and Prof. Dr. Sandra Bayer, Professor for Media and Business Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Mittweida and Managing Director of Anker & Alpen GmbH, will address this question. Their contribution "The value of an automated and individual dialogue with the guest: measures - measurability - motivation to return" will take place on Wednesday, 04 March 2020 at 11:00 a.m. on the stage in the eTravel World in Hall 6.1.
The two speakers will show how the tourism industry can skilfully use the knowledge from existing data, increase data quality and, through individualized communication, transform a satisfied guest into a loyal, returning guest.
